Jewelry Organizer

Soooo with all the jewelry I have been making, I decided I needed someplace to put it all. So I went out and purchased a 10x14 photo frame to convert into the jewelry organizer.

Supply list:
Photo frame
Paint (teal, purple)
Gesso (white)
Mat board
aluminum screening material (Home depot)
Ribbon
Cardstock
Adhesive
Staples/Stapler

FRAME:
1. Paint wooden frame with white gesso. Let dry.

2. Paint about a 4-5 in. section with teal and then next section in purple, leaving just a small sliver of white showing between the two colors of paint. Let dry.

BACK/CENTER:
3. Remove glass and mat board from frame. Cover mat board with patterned cardstock.

4. Cut 1/2 inch strips of matboard and adhere along each of the four edges.

5. Cut a piece of aluminum screening mesh the size of the mat board. Staple to the 1/2 in matboard pieces.

6. Insert back into frame. On mine - some of the 1/2 in mat board pieces where showing, so I adhered ribbon around all four edges.

7. Measure and mark a dot 1 inch apart all along the lower edge of the frame. Drill small starter holes and then screw in cup holder hooks into frame. I also added 2 hooks along each of the sides.

Jewelry sets

Sooooo I have been on a bit of a jewelry making kick...so here a few of the sets I have made recently.

The last three are each a combo of copper, bronze, and silver mixes. I made a set of earrings to go with the necklaces.

Here is a card using the Blossom kit from ClubScrap. This is a flip up card, if you look at the second image, you can see that the rubberstamped flower flips up when the card is opened up.

IN LOVING MEMORY OF LYNN JONES

JOURNALING: This is my sister, Darlene, with Lynn. this was such a fun evening we
had with lynn. we'd all been visiting and darlene wanted a photo with lynn, so I took the photo - in reviewing it, dar's hand was on lynn's boob. we were laughing so hard, it was just so dang funny. i will surely miss lynn. October 2009

Used ClubScrap Versailles digi kit. I totally LOVE the 'xtra' that is the grouping of flowers used in the lower left hand corner of the layout.

Cards - Just Dandy GTG cards

More "Just Dandy" Greetings to Go cards from ClubScrap kit.

1st card - used nestabilities dies to cut out mats, first mat is on popdots. Back mat is the card back, cut on fold, so it flips open. Wrapped first mat with ribbon.

2nd card - Flowers were punched out with punch, then I rolled and folded the edges of the flowers.

3rd card - Stamped the flower inside the card, punched a circle in card front to allow flower inside show through. Embellished with additional circle punches.
